Right on Front St in downtown Beaufort, enjoy walking up and down Taylor's Creek seeing the boats, shops, and restaurants then stop in at the Maritime Museum to learn about coastal North Carolina history and culture.
Change of pace from the sun, checkout a race at the local short track raceway. Depending on the events you can see some unique cars but will always have a great experience.
Fort Macon State Park is a great historical fort with exhibits about its long history through the different periods of American history. Also a great public beach access with amazing views of the inlet!
