Emerald Isle Woods Park - Just off Coast Guard Rd - Hiking Trails, Pier with water access. Checkout information on this park and many other parks and water access here
Senator Jean Preston Memorial Park - The newer boat ramp to the west of the house has a playground with a dedicated parking lot (do not park in the boat / trailer spots). You can also fish off the boat ramp pier as well.
Town of Atlantic Beach Park - Playground, splash pad, and mini golf. To the East across from Bojangles in Atlantic Beach.

The Salty Pirate Water Park is a small water park great for younger kids. To the West near Emerald Plantation. Great fun for the family with slides and pools of various sizes for all ages.
Go Karts & Golf

There are several options for mini golf and go karts, here are a couple recommendations.
Lost Treasure Golf & Raceway - Closest Go Carts, Mini Golf, and Bumper Boats. To the East in Salter Path. A fun spot for the family on the sound!
Mac Daddy’s and the Golfin' Dolphin are Further away than Lost Treasure and back on the mainland, however it's a huge fun park with Go Karts, Mini Golf, arcade, and Sky Trail!

Need something to get out on a rainy day?
There are two Movie theaters on the Island
One next to Emerald Plantation to the West
Another in Atlantic beach next to Food Lion/Bojangles.
Battle Works - Laser Tag, Axe Throwing, and more. Great fun inside away from the heat. It's located in Atlantic Beach in the same shopping center as the movie theater!
